Abstract

The Human Development Index is an indicator of the achievement of the development of the quality of life of the community which is measured based on three basic dimensions, namely the dimensions of long life and healthy life, knowledge, and decent living standards. The dimensions of longevity and healthy life are represented by the Life Expectancy (UHH) indicator at birth. The knowledge dimension is represented by the indicators of Expected Years of Schooling (HLS) and Average Years of Schooling (RLS). The standard of living dimension is represented by the Adjusted Expenditure indicator. The Central Bureau of Statistics of Melawi Regency compiles the Publication of the Human Development Index (IPM) as an important source of information that can be used in the preparation of planning related to human development in Melawi Regency. The presentation method is carried out in the form of a simple descriptive analysis using a table and graph approach to make it easier for users to understand the development of HDI achievements. The data and information presented consist of the situation of human development from the results of the calculation of the HDI along with the index of its constituent components and their development.
