Abstract

The Human Development Index is an indicator of development achievements in the quality of life of society which is measured based on three basic dimensions, namely the dimensions of long life and healthy living, knowledge and decent living standards. The dimensions of long life and healthy living are represented by the Life Expectancy (UHH) indicator at birth. The knowledge dimension is represented by the Expected Years of Schooling (HLS) and Average Years of Schooling (RLS) indicators. The dimension of decent living standards is represented by the Per Capita Expenditure indicatorCustomized. The Central Statistics Agency of Melawi Regency has prepared the Publication of the Human Development Index (HDI) as an important source of information that can be used in preparing related plans.human development in Melawi Regency. The presentation method is carried out in the form of simple descriptive analysis using tables and graphs to make it easier for users to understand the development of HDI achievements. The data and information presented consist of the human development situation from the results of calculating the HDI amount along with the indices of its constituent components as well as its development.
