Melawi Regency Gender Inequality Index 2022

National development needs to be implemented in various aspects, which one is the gender aspect. In Indonesia itself, there are still many problems regarding the gap between men and women in various aspects. This gap needs to be minimized so that gender equality can be realized. In an effort to reduce the problem of gender inequality, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) provides the Gender Inequality Index (IKG) as a development indicator that measures the inequality of achievement between men and women in three dimensions, namely reproductive health, empowerment and the labor market. Gender inequality data and information in this publication, it is hoped that can help the government in developing policy strategies and implementing programs to reduce gender inequality in a sustainable manner.
